The only toxic relationship I want in my life.

One of the most delightfully tasteless & unwholesome movies ever made and probably the best “hey mom, watch this!” prank you could ever pull. It takes legitimate talent and dedication to be this excessively offensive, so god bless Troma for giving the world a superhero parody so heinous & obscene that it makes the gratuity of The Boys look like fuckin’ VeggieTales.

I can see why this is a cult favorite but I found the whole thing annoying🙄.
I get that it was going for schlocky, but it was too self-aware about how crappy it is💩.Practically screams in your face "Look how bad this is. Isn't it funny?🙃". I like my stupid movies more earnest.
Mix that tone with 80 minutes of racial slurs, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, multiple rape attempts, a dog shooting🐕🔫 and a graphic child murder💀and you get the picture😬. I get it, You're trashy🗑️. It's exhausting.
I'll give it 2 stars⭐️⭐️ because admittedly there were some funny moments. Seeing the assholes die in absurd ways was great🍦& the romance montage💘 between The Toxic Avenger and the blind women was hilarious and oddly sweet. The rest just wasn't my thing. Disappointing.😞

One of the very best of the very worst movies out there. Or that I've seen at least.
I mean that in the best way possible, too. Just utterly disgusting awesomeness.

One of the greatest movies ever made! A true superhero and the only one for me is the Toxic Avenger!
I love this movie so much! I remember watching it on USA Up All Night when I was a kid and feeling this incredible mixture of awe, excitement, and disgust all rolled together and I’m pretty sure that was the catalyst in creating the person I am today. Even on early 90’s cable it was wildly inappropriate and since it was always after my parents went to bed, I just ate it all up.
Absolutely not for everybody, 110% for me!

"The Mop Boy can't even Mop"
"I hate the Mop Boy"
Origins story for the greatest superhero of all time (well according to Lloyd Kaufman ... and me!)Mop Boy Melvin works at the Tromaville Health Club as the Janitor, who is consistently being bullied at work by the local knuckleheads, he is then exposed to toxic waste after a prank goes wrong, transformed him into The Toxic Avenger and the rest as they say is history.
"Gruesome? ... Hey you should see my Mother in Law?"
Very funny with lashings of gore and violence for the kids and nudity for the older ones. I've always been a fan of this complete trash and everything else Troma has been putting… -

Spooktober II: To Hell With the 80s
Well, now I understand what people mean when they say James Gunn is from the TROMA school....
...and WOW.... WOW....
I've heard rumors they may be doing a remake of this movie, and I honestly don't think it's possible unless they stripped this out of every f**ked up thing that happens. And in that case, let's be honest, it wouldn't be the same movie, or the movie period. The humor and exploitative tone seamlessly meld together in a way that creates this fascinating contrast, a synergy so bizarre that you can take your eyes off the screen.
WOW.
As I explained, the villains in this movie are so absurd to such a ridiculous…
